This and That
Greetings everyone!
I hope that everyone is well. Thoughts of spring been on my mind lately. And I do think it is affecting my creations as of late. I just listed this sweet little warbler necklace in my shop. The pendant is so adorable and has four little charms attached to it. I simply attached a bright silver chain as I wanted the focus to be on the bird. Thinking about sunshine, flowers and woodland creatures and birds have brightened my spirits, as I've been feeling a bit down as of late. Visions of springtime hikes and greenery are swimming in my head - taking away the sadness and replacing it with the promise of the new season to come!
I just recently finished a big art project (details to be forthcoming) and will soon return to this little painting shown here. I created the background with crackle medium and covered it with gold paint. I am not too well versed with using crackle medium, but I ended up liking the effects I achieved with it. I did, however, use two different types! I then did a bit of antiquing around the edges of the canvas. I'll be pasting this chubby birdie onto the canvas and then paint him. I'll also be including a quote.
Some of you may remember the art piece for charity I recently painted. The original is happy in its new home with an absolutely love owner, and I've finally added some postcards to the shop! Sixty percent of the sales from the postcards go directly to M & L Hockman Ranch. I love how the postcards came out - they have a small bright green border and each postcard comes with a earthy brown envelope. They're also just perfect for framing.
There are also 8 x 10 prints available for sale in the shop. Each one will be signed by me. It took me a few tries to get the colors the way I wanted them, but finally the prints look just as nice as the originals. I love giclee prints - the feel of the paper is so nice. Again, 60 percent of the proceeds from each sale goes directly to the Ranch to help care and feed the animals who reside there.
Finally, I'd like to thank those of you who entered my Valentine's Day giveaway. I am thrilled to announce that the winner of my hand knit wristlets and bookmarks is Tammie Lee of Spirit Helpers! Sending out a big congrats to Tammie! I hope you adore your new goodies.
Til next time,
Theresa

Oh, yes. Thoughts of spring are heavy on my mind ~ and in my heart!
Aside from having Papa Cardinal singing his mating song each morning from his high spots, I'm busy starting seeds, tending seedlings for the summer gardens. So, your charming warbler necklace is so very fitting!
And lucky Tammie! She's a wonderful being and I'm delighted to know she's your winner!
