The Great Fairy Tale Collection Giveaway is HERE!!!

The joint giveaway with Braggin' Rights Bath & Spa and Faerie Moon Creations is here!  It runs from Sunday, May 27 through Tuesday, June 19!  The giveaway celebrates the launch of the Fairy Tale Fragrance Series from Tracy and Faerie Moon Creations.

Here is an exclusive message from Tracy to all of you! 

 I “wear all the hats” at Braggin' Rights Bath and Spa (I am the staff, I'm not complaining...).  However, I attribute much of my inspiration to my mom.  She had always taught me to be crafty - she taught me to work hard, use my morals, do unto others that way you would like done to you...As a bonus: she also taught me tons of recipes & concoctions tht were natural while I was growing up.  She was ahead of her time, or maybe, we are just cycling back around - as most of the things she taught me were the way things were before we had major corporations creating everything and things were simpler.

My quest: to live that way, simpler.  In honesty, I have a long way to go, but I am going in the right direction - having finally reached the age where you think, “Well, I can't believe she really was right about that too, and that...”

Anyhow, I got into creating bath and spa products because they are a treat - something like taking yourself out on a date and you already know how to treat yourself best and what you like best, etc.  It's something that we get to do when we take time for us - which, admittedly, I do not do very often at all - though I am working on it. It's part of being good to us, feeling indulgent, giving ourselves something nice “just because”... That is one of the most awesome feelings someone can have, and it makes me smile to think that I am a part of that via the creation of products that are responsible for giving someone that feeling.

I would love to tell you that I maintain a completely natural product line although I do not (much to my mother's dismay...).  In reality, I would have far less products available and would be limited in what types of items I carry. Preservatives are necessary in many products, and people do love the smell of cupcakes (childhood memories brought back by our senses) - synthetically made or no - still invoke a sense of pleasure and bring us joy. I do carry a good selection of all-natural products and stay away from nasty chemicals.  I use products that are not tested on animals.  Basically, I provide something for many different ranges of taste. Most (but not all) of my mom's recipes had to stay refrigerated or used in 30 minutes, etc.; they were also not finished in every color of the rainbow, and you were never sure if she was cooking dinner or whipping up a hair masque!  But she taught me a lot; she taught me to do things right, to always use my imagination, to learn about things, to always continue seeking...

I have learned so much in the course of running Braggin' Rights- and knowledge is a beautiful thing. My imagination and creativity level...well, let's say I can't make everything that I think of (there is not enough room, and I have no desire to be an assembly line product...that would kill what Braggin' Rights has come to be) has helped me open my eyes to so many things and to explore so many more.

I woke one morning thinking of how it would be to be a fairy tale character, (Thumbelina, to be honest)... and the idea spiraled from there.   I read the history on each of the characters that I created fragrances for; I wanted to get the “feel” of the character's essence. That same morning, I contacted Theresa from Faerie Moon Creations, (I have known her artwork for as long as I have been on Etsy, at least).  I have always adored the characters that she created...their eyes held such wonder...they held a whole world inside the depths of them. I  thought of her immediately as I was creating these scent blends. They were my visual - her works were what I could see as a visual representation of what I was trying to capture.... And she said she would love to collaborate in this magical project with me...it has come from a dream to life!

My mom had always told me that anything is possible...if you really, really believe that you can do something, you CAN. (We never believed all of that kind of talk as kids.  But I can assure you that I truly believe it no.  It seems to be another one of those, “Oh, she was right about that too.... hmm.”)
